Head Coach Pete Moyer
email pcm11@scasd.org Pete is in his 35th year as the head coach of the Little Lions. He is a graduate of Bucknell University where he competed in swimming and water polo. Prior to moving to the State College area, Pete was an active age-group coach in Hagerstown, MD and Waynesboro, PA. Coach Pete has also been an active contributor, coach, and instructor in this community for the YMCA, SPRA, and CRPR. Pete is a social studies teacher at Park Forest Middle School, and he and his wife Sue are the proud parents of their sons Christopher and Jeffrey. Assistant Coach Todd Roth email troth@crcog.net Todd is a former State High swim team member graduating in 1992. He's also a Penn State Alum, graduating in 1997 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Todd has been coaching for 18 years, including swimming and water polo at the YMCA, Club, and University Level. Todd was an assistant swim coach at State High before leaving the area for a few years, but is now in his 11th year since returning to State College. Todd is the Aquatics Supervisor for Centre Region Parks and Recreation, and he and his wife Jen live in State College with their daughters Carson, Piper, and Teagan, and their dogs Moose and Boomer. Assistant Coach Alex Raup email adr25@scasd.org Now in his third year with the team, Alex is a 2005 graduate of State High where he swam for four years and was captain his senior year. He graduated in 2009 from F&M in Lancaster and was a four-year letter winner on the men’s swim team. Alex is an English teacher at the Park Forest Middle School. Away from the pool, Alex coaches youth football with the SC Lions and follows PSU sports. He is very excited to be on board with the State College swim teams and is pumped for the season. Diving Coach Patrick McClelland email p.mcclelland@comcast.net Patrick is in his first year as the diving coach of the Little Lions. He originally hails from Michigan where he was a competitive diver for 8 years. He is a 1986 graduate of University of Michigan where he dove for a brief period of time with legendary Olympic diving coach Dick Kimball. Prior to moving to the State College area Patrick most recently lived in Italy and over the years, while primarily being an F-16 pilot in the Air Force, he has been an active judge for Junior Olympic trampoline and an assistant coach for softball. Patrick is on the faculty at Penn State University and lives in State College. He and his wife Lisa are the proud parents of four daughters, Amanda, Caitlin, Chelsea and AnnMarie.
